But here’s the part most students don’t talk about: my grades weren’t perfect. I didn’t feel like a “sure thing” on paper, and I knew that without a strong SAT or ACT score, I likely wouldn’t even be in the conversation.
That pressure is familiar to a lot of students and parents. You’re doing everything right: challenging classes, extracurriculars, late nights — and yet one number can feel like the thing standing between you and the school you’ve worked toward for years.
For me, that number mattered.
I went from a 31 to a 36 on the ACT and that score changed everything. It gave me confidence. It gave admissions officers a clear signal. And ultimately, it helped me earn admission to Northwestern, the school I had imagined myself at long before I knew how competitive the process really was.
And it didn’t stop with me. I later coached my own sister using the same system and helped her earn a perfect score as well.
I’m now a Northwestern alum, and I built The Score Theory for students who feel stuck in that same position: capable, motivated, but held back by a test that feels unpredictable and unfair. Over the years, I’ve coached students who have gone on to earn admission to top schools such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Northwestern, Cornell, and many others.
Standardized tests aren’t about intelligence. They’re about patterns, timing, and decision-making under pressure. Once you understand how the SAT or ACT actually works, the test stops being a barrier and starts becoming an opportunity.
The Score Theory is the system I wish I had earlier: a structured, repeatable way to turn preparation into confidence, and confidence into results.

We don’t guarantee specific score outcomes because final results depend on test-day factors we simply cannot control. While it can be tempting to look for programs that promise exact score increases, real and lasting improvement comes from focused preparation and steady execution over time.
What we do stand firmly behind is our preparation process. It’s the same structured system we’ve used to help many students make meaningful score gains, and it’s designed to give you the clarity, strategy, and confidence needed to perform at your highest level.
If a student attends all scheduled sessions, completes the assigned homework, and actively participates throughout the program, yet still feels they are not better prepared for the SAT or ACT, they may submit a written refund request within one week of the program’s completion.
Whether you’re already scoring high or just getting started, the program is designed to meet you where you are. In our live classes, we teach the core strategies and test concepts every student needs — the foundational patterns, decision-making systems, and execution skills that apply at every score level.
This combination of structured strategy + individualized coaching is why students across a wide range of starting scores see meaningful improvement.
